New ATV worth the upgrade?

i bought last model atv on monday (not knowing new 1 released today). it's unpacked, haven't hooked yet. far can tell significant difference 1080p, right?

worth returning , getting new 1 on 3/16? i'm getting started home theater, , i'm not demanding. read 1 article suggested consumers wouldn't able tell difference between 720p , 1080p. true?

i'd if you're within return window, it. no point in paying full price older version. if bought apple, they'll take without restocking fee, if it's been opened.

able return airport extreme bought 3 days before came out new one. opened , took right , walked out new one. no restocking fee @ all. of course, had come week later because new aebs needed 10.5/10.6 set , on 10.4.
