conflicted - bachlor party but too expensive

one of friends (i 1 of closest friend college, though don't talk anymore cause moved) got engaged , having bachelor party. invited. it's going weekend thing (so total fun time of 48hours) , going cost $800-$1000 inclusive (includes cost of paying bachelor). can't justify spending $800 (lets it'll cost much) 48hours of fun, that's ridiculous. i'm not poor, have money, again, 48hours of fun $800? sounds ridiculous me

being cheap or reasonable in thoughts?

if people worth it. sounds me maybe people arent worth money. have core group of close friends college , pay lot of money spend 48 hours them.
