there times when press power button, white light turns on, hard drive turns on, , screen stays black 10 seconds. finally, tone , screen apple image , all. have 13" mbp since october of 2009. still works fine it's once in while this. of time screen doesn't stay black long while starting up.
if happens intermittently , wait 10 seconds, wouldn't worry it.
