Hooking Up Mini DVI to LCD TV, with audio?

so i've been hooking 13" macbook pro tv watch movies.
i'd use speakers tv output, have no idea how.

have mini dvi hdmi adapter plugged macbook. adapter in tv's hdmi1 port (there three). issue audio lost, since dvi video standard.

have cable minijack on 1 end , composite audio (red/white stereo) on other, don't know it, because hdmi channel on tv doesn't try fallback composite audio (i think).

here's photo of setup, advice? (save purchasing external speaker system, don't want that)


(i've tried plugging in red/white macbook 2 slots on left, 5 wires right video component cable receiver box)
