Help with my sister's ATV2 setup

i got sister apple tv christmas, she's having problems setting up. unknown me, turns out has old ibook running osx 10.4. because of this, doesn't appear though can upgrade itunes 10.5 or later required atv.

trying find workaround able use atv. second thought give old ipad stream content there, don't believe she'd able sync ipad computer either.

suggestions?

if want, think powermac g5 can run latest itunes... or cheap pc...
