SSD – setting up for best performance

i have been on fence ssd while, last week found deal on 120gb ocz agility 3 , took plunge.

plan use windows work laptop upgrade latest firmware, use disk utility format mac os x extended (journaled). won't setting couple of days, have couple of questions when do...

1. ccc or clean install time machine?
plan use ccc enclosure, might reinstall if there major advantage gained. ccc retain lion's recovery partition?

2. spin down time , sudden motion sensor:
neither of these technologies relevant ssd, potentially affect operation if mbp tried use them in way – os x detect ssd , automatically disable them? there need manually in regard? recommend enabling trim – make difference, , there downsides, e.g. stability, enabling it?

input on either of above, or other advice have appreciated. thanks!

 

what can contribute:

os x doesn't need trim, won't notice difference on vs. off. if you're running windows on it, trim idea.

wouldn't worry motion sensor, if drop laptop you'll have bigger problems


ccc should ok, used first time yesterday , quite pleased, still opted fresh install "just because."
