Properly cleared iphone

i trying clear 3gs sell. cleared through itunes i'd clear again. problem took sim card out , won't connect itunes again can re-clear it.

there way can re-clear without sim card? won't let me through phone because not set up. cut sim card down fit in new phone.

important clear more once?

 

you should able put dfu mode , restore through itunes. shouldn't require sim card @ all.
