Logitech Dual Action controller used for Steam games?

i have 1 that's made in 2003. have of tried using or similar controllers games left 4 dead 2 on mac? how did work?

 

support gamepads individual games, nothing steam. left 4 dead 2 has gamepad option, haven't tried it, since frankly there's no point. use 1 games psychonauts, works well, not first-person shooters.
