Just part of the retina panel?

i've noticed, when flipping 3rd gen ipad use in different orientation, entire screen looks pinkish-red. kind of thing see non ips panels when tilted. can seen left , @ angle. never saw on ipad 2. have new retina screen? part of tech?

i've noticed on dark images or black screen.

 

no not normal , should have checked / exchanged @ apple store.
