my iphone of special case. purchased through at&t , has been locked them. however, replaced while in singapore , phone returned me unlocked. restored phone , locked once again - guess since apple servers paired at&t account. have replaced phone again in singapore , once again have received unlocked phone. guess - if restore it, apple once again pair at&t account , lock it.
anyway, want update ios 5.1, know once lock again. however, before "restored" it. once restored it, came "connect itunes" activate sim , reported invalid sim. question is: if click "check update" instead of "restore", still end in "connect itunes" state or update software without restoring.
bottom line, "check update" lock phone?
nobody knows?
