years ago, encountered coverage on 1 of sports channels of sailboat race looked kind of ordinary footage, saw scale of thing. @ time, on leg was, recall, miami capetown in 21 meter single-mast boats crew of 11. seemed incredible @ time (still kind of breath-taking, really).

yesterday, boats current race left auckland nz on leg 5, shy of 7000 miles across wide pacific, through drake passage (around cape horn) itajai argentina. in way, kind of boring follow, weeks of sailing, feat these guys.

 

yep, it's on our news , sport channels quite lot. of course have interest our boat "camper" (quite freudian name)
