How does Mac OS log user text-input, and how to retrieve it?

a friend of mine discovered facebook password logging in on mac, typing few lines of code in terminal. text file appeard containing of keyboard input last login. won't tell me how did it, other had nothing keylogger.
i'm puzzeled, bet guys know more .

 

are sure had keyboard input? if so, i'm calling bs - friend installed key logger.

if contained passwords, used command line tool "security".
