Ethernet Migration Assistant

what kind of ethernet cable need directly connect 2 imacs run migration assistant? new 1 refurb 21" intel core i5 2.5ghz , old 1 24" core 2 duo 3.06ghz. both running os 10.7.

any cat5e or cat6 ethernet cable work, don't need crossover cable, since macs take care of itself.
