27" iMac Stuttering Graphics Problem

hi folks

got problem late 2009 imac (spec in sig). developed flickering display issue known fault model. sent local authorised apple dealer fitted new display under applecare warranty. got few days later last thursday.

ok, new display fine – bright, colours great, no flickering. graphics awful. in, when doing graphically intensive, stutter if machine overheating or something. halfway through dirt 2 when machine went in – used play great hour or more easily. game totally unplayable – in first race.

thought maybe new display brighter or , taxing graphics more. turned brightness down half, installed istat pro monitor temperatures , installed smc fan control force fans speed , keep temperatures down. temperatures don’t seem bad now, graphics bad.

i’m guessing i’ll have haul machine way apple store again, save me hassle, wondered if had ideas, or had experienced similar themselves?

were ever able play dirt 2? have low specced gpu on imac 4670 or 4850. either 1 has 512mb memory. reduce res if attempting native or 1920x1080. lower settings until works smoothly, aa. don't have memory it.
can't take computer , have apple make magically more powerful. need more powerful gpu.
