long time reader new poster here. received offer sell old 2009 mb pro. want wipe personal data. restore thing , done it, have microsoft office installed, , don't have original cds reinstall it.
what's best way of removing personal information without reimaging whole thing?
mac os deleting delete file or label can write on again? or there dban mac?
have little experience mac os.
sensitive info things passwords saved firefox , documents work.
i'm lost. did new buyer asked office installed?
i'm not sure, there 2 ways delete trash in mac: "empty trash" , "secure empty trash". later deletes files in way them never able recover them. later puts them "available" space replace.
anyways, wouldn't sell computer without making clean install, unless knew buyer. why risk it?
