Suggestions for alternative to extra long charging cord?

with new ipad battery draining faster , taking longer charger, i'd able charge i'm using @ home. however, need long cord can comfortably use ipad in bed or on couch.

third party 10ft cord came in mail doesn't work. dont see 10ft cord on apple accessory site.

have buy apple 1 or maybe buy extension cord??

you can take off prong ipad , put cord in there. it's better having charger plugged extension cord since don't have worry cord coming off. had cord left on macbook charger not sure how it'll cost buy separately.
