screen protectors all the same?

so have case iphone 4s, curious if there need out in regards getting clear screen protector face of screen? screens worse others? assume same. don't want scratches, etc. also, have affect on touch screen capabilities of iphone? know work, curious if thickness or material matters.

 

some have different feel others.i have liked wrapsol dry anti glare/fingerprint screen shields best,i've noticed of wet applications ones have rubbery feel , dry ones feel more natural , glasslike.its personal preference though.
