IOS "other" mail acct setup

i searching information regarding setup of "other" accounts on ipad/iphone/etc. when enter first 4 pieces of information, seems should lookup see if can rest of information without asking user enter all. trying setup users on our service don't have enter more info don't know(knowing password can battle!). can make information available them if automated, makes things simpler!

contacted apple because on site states:

"apple maintains database of common email settings. these settings automatically configured on device during setup. if database doesn't automatically configure settings , don't know them, please contact email provider , gather settings on document."

first genius(they still when call them?) useless me...didn't have interest in discussing after insisted on end , had set things populate , "it works people , not others"...that knew.

second genius on board , put me on hold check enterprise support , various other groups of no help. continually coming me setting on server , when said live that..if tell me "it" was. unfortunately our mail support leaves bit desired looking figure out technology lets apple products grab information...is dns, on our server?

seems me if knew our server was..i wouldn't tell our server tell app our server is. dns records or similar make more sense "where come from" standpoint not able nail down.

input more welcome(if think should direct questions somewhere else valid response too!). have practiced google fu years , ofcourse, auto configuring email turns lots of people worried auto completes need deleted client , never find of true use...but perhaps fu foo'd!
