hello everyone. hope well. have dilemma regarding ideal setup me. have imac 27" 2.66 ghz (2009 model) ipad 2 , iphone 4s. here dilemma. father has said if ever wanted mac, buy mine off me , give me money mac. have had intention of giving him imac before leave uni due fact won't practicle , more portable computer in case macbook air. awesome imo. earlier today offered me deal. give him imac august , buy me while on holiday in california equivalent of 4gb 128gb 11" macbook air. figured no longer need ipad , sell , put money towards apple cinema display. sound idea you?
combination of macbook air , cinema display university. figured take notes etc on macbook air while having monitor plug when accommodation , have iphone if go out without needing take mac imo in case remove need ipad. studying law in university way means used lot of writing.
there new macbook airs out late july/august?
please let me know think guys. ideal setup me , deal taking account current computer.

of course deal. 2011 mba+tbd pretty perfect needs; bring laptop classes, , plug in tbd when @ dorm.
if possible so, it. not that, 2011 mba more powerful 2009 imac, notice performance increase (and significant 1 @ that). better in every way. sell ipad well, don't see using if have mba; sell it, buy applecare mba, or drink it.
if cant wait till mid 2012, buy mba now. performance increase ivy bridge bring isnt astronomical; 10-20%, isn't noticeable @ in general everyday use. saying that, new intel hd 4000 alot better current generations hd 3000, power tbd. if can wait, great, if not, buying 2011 version still excellent purchase.
