How to reset time machine?

i have set time machine 1 of external hdd partition. @ moment have change different partition , start using again new backups. can please explain me how reset?

has used d-link router's "usb storage" feature mac?

the router usb luck i've had time machine has been airport extreme, unless can find router supports hfs file systems on usb drives.
