Best External Drive for Blu-Ray Burner

wondering if guys have suggestions nice, relatively cheap external blu-ray drive. want rip blu-rays macbook pro distribute new ipad. also, software need? file sizes big? or should stick buying content off of itunes? physical discs because can play them anywhere , quality still better being distributed on itunes. thoughts.

file sizes going run anywhere 700mb-4.7gb depending on format, you'll need in ipad can play. actually, guess can app play mkv, etc., vlc gone i'm not sure best options out there.
