Timemachine EHD Recommendation

i'm getting first mac since iis . since iis i've been on windows machines , can't take them anymore. spend more time troubleshooting machine using it. i'm excited have 27" 3.4ghz i7 imac on way (and bit worried screen blotch issue).

question is: can recommend ehd use timemachine backup? machine coming 1tb internal hdd. i'm looking quality , value.

as far ehds go, i've been kind of put off user reviews of drives. many of them seem use cheap hard drives high failure rates.

personally, had 2 tb samsung drive old computer had paid little on cheaper seagates , popped in actively cooled asus external enclosure had lying around. keep hidden away , plugged in. it's worked great time machine backups.

oh, , congrats on purchase! got 27" imac couple weeks ago , every minute using has been joy.
