At&t threats of top 5% usage

i got text message at&t saying:

data use month puts in top 5% of users. use wifi avoid reduced speeds.

called them.

pay $30/mo unlimited data. i'm grandfathered in, plan no longer available.

plans available $30/mo 3gb. drops 300mb $20.

call, reads script me. ask how data used - 2gb of today , today last day of billing cycle.

ask obvious questions -

keeps saying it's not gbs rate use it. tell rate 2gb per month.

ask why pays $30 , gets 3gb gets more pays $30 unlimited? won't answer, stuck script - "it's rate". ask acceptable rate , how keep track of it? there's no way know. do differently avoid doing wrong?

use phone less. says don't watch netflix, don't stream pandora, etc. don't...

say, you're telling people can't use phone advertised.

happens if go "over" mysterious rate? speeds slow down.

at&t promised me speeds , at&t in breach. says there no promise because network speeds vary.

vary technical reasons, if targeted slow down, that's policy decision - should expect same speed range else because have done nothing wrong.

well, script no longer helping her. tell if experience slower speeds average after warning, i'll contacting congressman, fcc, , lawyer put class action suit.

specifically told me people on unlimited plan being told cut , not people on 3gb plan because, "they on different network". told liar. it's policy decision, it's different plan, not different physical infrastructure.

told if at&t doesn't want me customer, i'd happy mutual severing of contract. silence. told harassing people switching plans, , i'm not going to.

gather not restrict speeds. when slow down, want believe target-throttle, won't really.

has received warning experienced slower speeds or other penalty???

there dozen threads talking this.
