How to hide shadow around icons that aren't squares

whenever try set image icon isn't full square, example this, there's shadow. i'm assuming part of system , not image itself. there way around this?

 

no 1 knows how this? or not possible? know people change kinds of things on jailbroken devices find hard believe there isn't way this. example suave hd theme makes icons smaller , edges rounder. there must way hide shadow.
