The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported

so ive been given iphone 4, tried sim cards have, o2, vodafone, orange, tesco , 3 , show no service. restored iphone via itunes , sim card inserted in iphone not appear supported. shall do? these sim cards work fine on other iphone 4.

 

perhaps free phone sim locked carrier
