The problem with OS X video players

hello everyone. :)

new vlc out , not happy it. besides small bugs don't mind saw cpu usage rose 20%.

did research , of nice vlc developer able fix deleting files in vlc.app, lowered quality.
but:
still needs 30-35% of cpu.
qt x needs 14%.

found out because qt x using hardware acceleration.
knows on lion perian aren't able open video files subtitles in it.

seems no other player using hardware acceleration, besides plex , xbmc unhandy , watching videos on macbook.

has solution this? or suggestion? tried convert mkvs mp4s qt x able open them, isn't solution either.

, other players movist , mplayerx need more cpu (up 70%!). might not problem people watch videos on macpro or @ home without cable literally sucks out battery.

seems me os x has no way play videos.
have convert videos or have use software decoding players vlc or movist can give quality raise cpu usage unbelievable high percentage or keep down quality. :(

isn't satisfying solution suppose.

tried movist yet?

can change playback engine, though qt not ffmpeg:
