Second hard drive in early 2008 15" MBP

so, don't know if possible, if is, want give shot. have searched forums (and elsewhere on web) i'm either bad @ searching (possible) or no luck answering specific question.

have 2008 15" mbp (last model before unibody). i've replaced ram before, want install second hard drive in place of cd drive.

don't want ssd, storage spot inside laptop. use 3 (yes, total of 5tb) external drives, want have more stuff on laptop when need it. i'm looking maybe 500 gb drive, if has less that's fine.

question is: possible switch out cd drive , stick in new hard drive, , if is, how do it? i've been able find guides on either replacing original drive (which i'll if have to, i'd rather not) or adding second hard drive unibody mbps (which mine not).

 

if remember rightly, possible it, need mbp 2008 optibay, or mbp ide optibay think, , should give need. won't able put drives in raid0 or (as it's ide , sata connections) you'll have live having 2 hard drives show on machine.
