anyone waiting enhanced smart covers protection?

apple site still offers ipad 2 cover (front only). apple store says ipad 2 cover fit , can return once enhanced cover released.

apple typically release covers same time product? doesn't make sense recommend ipad 2 cover during preorder without option of preordering enhanced smart cover.

people bought ipad 2 on launch, smart cover announced @ same time?

smart cover+back cover apple rumor, , seems stay rumor , not come true.
