Vimeo HD (720p) on a single 933 mhz G4

i tried play vimeo hd video coreplayer on g4 quicksilver 933 mhz 1.5 gb ram. @ first not handle it, benchmark of 80-85% of original video playback speed. played prefs , able krank score 115-120%. means video passes test.

trick go in prefs --> advanced, , turn off avc deblocking filter. of course, video quality drop little (or lot, depending on source), hey, thought possible play hd fine on computer single cpu , less 1 ghz?

p.s.: youtube hd 720p gets better benchmarks vimeo.

had played around coreplayer settings before not seen real improvement, tip works great! tried lady gaga (no, don't care lady gaga, 720p file had choked mighty coreplayer) file refused play, turning off avc filter suggested worked great. can toss it!

also, able calmly stream 720p vimeo file using download helper, copied url , pasted coreplayer, worked great. cpu use @ 80%, not bad. powerpc's not dead!

however, gotta hate raspberry pi, 25 dollar linux board released can stream 1080p , dual g5 chokes on it. wtf?
