Parallels 6 vs. Bootcamp for Programming

i searched forums answer question didn't find 1 fit situation.

bought 13" mbp use @ school , work. need use visual studio 2010 c++ programming , wondered whether best through bootcamp or through parallels 6. many of threads found said gaming better through bootcamp, didn't find mentioning programming.

parallels 6 acceptable choice running visual studio, or better off using bootcamp? don't gaming , can run on mac os except visual studio. i'd prefer using parallels don't have reboot, want make sure it's going run smoothly.

how ram have? if have 4 gb , more , depending on windows version, parallels desktop might solution.
test 14-day trial of parallels desktop.
