Buying a used MacBook Pro

been without computer month , half, i'm not dying (between iphone , work computer) sheesh surely handicap.

really want macbook pro.
never had mac computer before i'm new this. looking @ these guys @ apple store though reminds me of prices of basic laptops in 2000. ehh yeah $$$$$ can't justify such prices. whats deal 2-3yr old macbook pro's. budget caps out @ $900. out for, do's , don't's? i'll purchasing off craigslist can check out first. looking buy mid next month.
