Renaming shortname accounts and homefolders from CLI

hello macrumors,

i'm new community.

want able rename account shortname , homefolder. want able cli.

see i'm trying migrate existing local accounts active directory. problem have encountered is not authenticating active directory.

had planned on creating script renames account.. joins od/ad... moves user data , restore ownership. current local user shortnames same ones in active directory.

 

osx not designed rename short name. think there may work around or two, not stream line approach.
