MacBook Pro advice

hi, have mid 2009 17 macbook pro, think idea buy new one? late 2011 model 8 gigs of ram?

i´m tired of rumors, 2012, 2013, i´m playing game since 2006 , it´s dead end. want know how perform side side, don´t have problems actual mpb (photoshop, illustrator, imovie...), if can see great performance new one, can make jump.

if don't need new one, why ask question? if current 1 enough needs , you're happy it, question answered. can answer if need quad core processor, better video, etc. needs.

it's significant jump, yes. matter when might not use 50% of sandy bridge's capabilities?

best bet (if haven't already) self-upgrade ram 8gb , add ssd or hybrid momentus xt drive better performance. adding pure ssd seem have whole new computer. if don't need optical drive, take out , buy optibay adapter , put solid state drive in main bay , hard drive (for more storage) in optical drive bay.
