iPad Smart Cover Build Quality??

can of ipad smart covers expand on build quality of smart covers? i'm thinking getting one, lot of reviews on apple store claimed started falling apart around 6-7 month mark. if that's true, think i'd rather 3rd party case.

 

got on day 1 still looks perfect....and used heavily in business travel...
