I need external storage for 2 iMacs

we run small photography , videography business using 2 imac's. i'm upgrade new imac , we'd improve our storage options more professional set up. create lots of large files, growing problem...

until we've been using 1/2tb drives , keep them in filing cabinet. ovioulsy not ideal , given both work different areas not easy/simple share files, hence need kind of network option...

looked @ nas system local apple retailer has put me off due others having bad experience, not sure why! friend told me dont need full network elaborate/expensive need...he suggested nas!

knowledge limited i'm @ loss know or speak to. i'm holding off on new imac purchase incase there need added machine future storage set up!

your budget key. 2011 storage options 2011 imacs have new option thunderbolt. fast reliable more money. advantage allow external osx drive of ssd type.
