hey guys,
yesterday telling girlfriend buy upcoming 2012 13-incher it's out, , i'd happily pass current mba down (she has 13" macbook white).
said "thanks, no thanks. prefer cool white color boring aluminum". oh well, girls guess...
got me thinking:
marketing, design , user-experience have been 1 of apple's main pillars. why don't allow color customization on laptop cases anymore? know: white, black, mercury grey, champagne, etc. charge $x coloring case.
example, sony vaio z series excellent job in regard (i love dark grey carbon fiber case. looks ultra high-tech!).
know many people prefer old white or more subtle black current aluminum (my girlfriend, example). heck, can iphone , ipad in either black or white!
used offer different color ranges in laptops few years back... specific reason of why stopped doing it? i'm sure color-customization increase sales, specially among first time mac users.
probably reduce manufacturing costs.
