m.i.c gadget reports has received information sources indicating apple "close updating" aging mac pro line. detailed in report last month, window potential mac pro update approaching intel prepares launch sandy bridge e xeon processors , amd pushing out new "tahiti" family of graphics cards.

m.i.c gadget reports apple may planning switch nvidia stock graphics options in next mac pro instead of sticking amd on current models. move, line rumored similar shift macbook pro, open door improved performance on number of applications such adobe embrace nvidia's cuda architecture.

curiously, report claims apple looking jump directly ivy bridge, intel's successor processor family sandy bridge, revised mac pro. intel's sandy bridge e processors have seen significant delays close shipping, , unclear how apple's mac pro plans line ivy bridge server chip plans intel.
