Non-storage USB device unmount?

hi guys,

i'm trying use arduino microcontroller in virtual machine on macbook pro. however, can't figure out how "release" device os x in order able use within virtualbox. @ least believe issue is.

suggestions?

 

you don't have release it, have make virtualbox aware of it. try clicking usb icon @ lower right of virtual machine. should see list of usb devices attached mac, , able emulate act of plugging 1 in vm clicking it.
