hey received 3.4 i7 27 imac 2tb hdd , 256 ssd 2 weeks ago. want swap out stock toshiba ssd 3rd party otz 1 have 1 of faster ssds out there. there problem overheating or compabitly or that???? if can please me how go this. need , how lion , on new 3rd party ssd. read previous posts couldn't find really. or if can point me in right direction appreciated thanks.
you need swap out ssd new 1 , install ssd fan control stop fans spinning maximum.
far os x installation, did (using external hdd):
1. clone current ssd external hdd using superduper!
2. swap current ssd new third-party ssd
3. boot external hdd clone (hold alt when booting startup menu)
4. use superduper clone new ssd.
5. reboot using new ssd new startup device, job done.
