Lock screen brighter then "home" screen?

is normal? im paranoid faulty ipad these forum posts! yellow tint dead pixels etc! know small portion of 3 million ipads sold want make sure product 100% perfect lol.

 

it's auto-brightness kicking in after unlock. normal.
