Help with Blurry External Monitor

i've got 2010 13" macbook pro here 4gb of ram, 2.4ghz intel core 2-duo processor , have hooked-up hdtv.

problem im experiencing no matter resolution set to, on screen appears blurry , bloated of of proportion.

resolutions mac let me choose:
-1080i
-720p
-480p
-1360 x 768
-1024 x 768
-1024 x 578
-800 x 600
-800 x 600 (stretched)
-640 x 480
-640 x 480 (stretched)

here's looks like. can kind of tell blurry , can see dock doesn't fit , top menu bar isn't visible.


appears flickr isn't working photo. other ideas can see im talking about?
