Disk not fast enough for FCP X ProRes

wirelessly posted (mozilla/5.0 (iphone; cpu iphone os 5_0_1 mac os x) applewebkit/534.46 (khtml, gecko) version/5.1 mobile/9a405 safari/7534.48.3)

had pretty bad frame drops during playback when first opened fcp x, , told disk isn't fast enough. using imac - see sig - has caviar black. files on 1 drive though, time split?

what's best cost-effective set given mac , i'm working 1080 prores files? don't need heaps of capacity, 2 tb fine year.

download blackmagic disk speed test app store.
check speeds on drives using.
field work use esata g-tech miniraids.
can close 150mb/s.
fw800 close 80mb/s.
no near mac pro's sas , g-tech raids 300+mb/s thats crazy of course ;)
thunderbolt if have options.
home ton of extreme sports editing , occasional corp freelance crap. work deal higher 4k res stuff , no way can afford @ home :p
