Battery stuck!

i haven't read this, new ipad stuck @ 100% battery hours. used 90%, , connected computer transfer few videos. said "not charging", after 5 minutes unplugged , surprised said 100%. few hours later confused still said 100. tried restarting, sleep+home , nothing. dropped 99, has been there hour.

common problem?

 

sounds needs calibration....allow battery drain flat (until device shuts down) recharge 100%...this take while...typically 7-8 hours, should solve issue. if doesn't, return replacement.
