Messages Beta crashed MBP hard

i downloaded messages beta hour ago, , i'm able access word , other programs froze , behaved strangely after doing so. worried i'd lost lot of material. not force quit time; windows cycling in , out -- including documents , programs hadn't had open upon mandatory restart.

else experienced this?

yes! happening me well! messages, mail, pages, don't work! crashed 20 times!
