Lion slow whereas Windows on Bootcamp is a breeze

hey guys, have annoyances lion on imac.

have 27-inch mid 2011 imac (quad core i7 4gb of ram) , came preinstalled lion. noticed computer freezing whenever doing simple tasks looking @ web page safari download freememory mac app store. saw lion requires 3gb run leaving me under gb simple tasks. can running few apps , in menu bar "60mb free". i've reinstalled lion well, , same last install. right?!

i've installed windows 7 ultimate bootcamp , weirdly breeze use. it's amazing. it's still quite bad using 1.70gb when i'm browsing web it's better lion! still have on 2 gb left, , fast.

weird , such powerful system wouldn't expect it. have suggestions why it's being slow/how can remedy it?

see if else has seen or diagnosed well. i've been having similar issue on late-2011 mbp , it's quite annoying. i've owned tons of apple hardware , never seen discrepancy in performance before.

lion slow/sluggish yet windows under bootcamp screams. did clean format , install of both other week incase went screwy w/ os x problem persists. may not 'huge' noticeable when shouldn't be. if i'd expect see opposite.
