uhh. they're pretty self-explanatory.

-cell network search uses current location determine closest cell tower device connect to.
-compass calibration uses current location in order calibrate digital compass.
-diagnostics & usage uses current location when logging system errors , crashes.
-location-based iads that: advertisements based on current location.
-setting time zone uses current location determine time zone in , syncs system time match it.
-traffic uses current location give priority traffic updates in maps.app.this in theory activates when "show traffic" enabled when maps.app open, i've found ios pulling location data @ odd times this.
