Redsn0w "Waiting for Reboot," but my iPod has already rebooted normally

i've tried many times jailbreak ipod today using redsn0w. i'm on mac osx snow leopard, i've made sure ipod updated 5.0.1, , have latest version of redsn0w (0.9.10 beta 5). still, every time go jailbreak it go dfu mode, when redsn0w says "waiting reboot" ipod reboot , redsn0w stay stuck on message. have fix this?

few other things. haven't restored ipod while trying this, , haven't manually specified ipsw in redsn0w before trying jailbreak (cause i'd have download it). either of these fix problem?

i definetely try restore. manually selecting ipsw unlikely change anything. if went wrong first time, file system on ipod may moderately messed up, , causing repeated failures.

finally, theoretically hardware problem, example bad cable. try restore first.
