i've noticed ton of dropped wifi signals , reading here on forum tells me apple aware , "working" on issue. apple noob, can expect apple. it's inconvenience, still frustrating. apple issue update os fix this, or busy working on next imac bothered it.
still love imac, pain!

airport , bluetooth: potential sources of wireless interference
airport radar widget (mac) show channels being used nearby networks, can choose 1 doesn't conflict. can select channel launching airport utility (in /applications/utilities folder), going manual setup > airport tab > wireless > channel.
