Third Party Applications not Installing

hey fellow macrumors readers

here problem, every new third party app try install/open in macbook doesn't work.

move app applications folder // try open downloads folder, opens on dock, jumping without window , when click icon @ dock dissapears.

tried several things:

- checked happens every new application download, free aplications , work in mac. it's not problem of app downloaded.

- tried creating new user admin rights , downloading + opening app. same result.

- disk utility verify + repair permisions on boot disk, still same problem. checked i've read/write permisions in app folder.

- tried install app in 2 applications folder /applications , /users/xxxx/applications . same result.

- restarted/shutdown system several times, updated system software.

1 thing i've seen strange that, when try delete app installed app cleaner, shows me items in library preferences etc...etc... when try 1 of new apps tried move app folder, shows app.

why think apps not installing when move them applications folder :s

there way see logs of can troubleshoot little more? can think of 1 reason why happening? i've appointment in genius bar apple store week, hoping me without having make trip apple store.

my bet trying run applications without first installing them distribution .dmg disk image files:

1. double-click .dmg file. mount .dmg file on desktop , open window downloaded application.
2. drag application applications alias icon if there 1 or drag directly applications folder.
3. dismount .dmg file desktop. may archive or discard it--whatever wish.
