hello,
upgraded macbook pro's hard drive. old hard drive had both os x partition , windows 7 boot camp partition. current hard drive has os x partition. i've encased old hard drive (containing 2 partitions) in cheap external hard drive case, assessable via usb.
goal make boot camp partition on new hard drive exact replica of old boot camp partition. no longer have windows 7 discs or spare serial, otherwise have made fresh boot camp partition. far know, way windows running again valid serial restore old partition. don't give crap old data, want windows running.
looking in disc utility, see restore tab under bootcamp seems suggest if restored old windows 7 partition (via usb) new blank partition, copy boot camp partition on new mac?
correct? have better options relevant situation? don't want mess up, though have time machine back-up in case.
use winclone. make sure lion version.
